Where Does Your Beauty Lie? ..::Original Pictures Are Back! Detailed Results::.. brought to you by Quizilla Rehearsals have finally taken off. On the flip side I'm having serious writer's block about my CS103 weekly report. Due tomorrow. Gaaah save me! :S Viv wished for the moon @ 5:41 AM Saturday, January 22, 2005
I am exhausted after auditioning today...it's yielded some good results tho. As you can tell I haven't been blogging much. Blog officially in a coma. Just don't feel like chronicling. I'll be back, soon... Viv wished for the moon @ 8:47 AM Sunday, January 09, 2005 Arrrgggh don't hate me don't hate me! *Cowers in fear*Wonder if anybody still comes, owing to the fact that I haven't blogged in yonks. Close to a month, I think I could've actually broken my record. But I didn't in the end, so too bad! Boo hoo. I've felt awfully guilty about not blogging but I've just never gotten into the mood for it. It's odd. When there's too much to blog about (and there's been tons recently...Christmas, New Years', and school starting again) my mind simply shuts down and refuses to let me blog. Or am I just making lame excuses? Anyway I might as well mention one of the more noteworthy things that's happened in the past few days, which was my finally meeting up properly with the Sganime people yesterday and last Sunday at YMCA MacDonald's (I must commend the establishment for putting up with us making noise for so long and not throwing us out!). It was great to finally put names to faces, and bid a fond farewell to BubbleGumLion, who will be off to Japan to work in Capcom. Ent he a lucky 'un? With regards to meeting the forum people I must say they have a strange tendency to call each other by their nicknames from the forum. While I know it's the natural tendency, and I do it too, since our primary mode of introduction was that forum and with those nicknames, I find that once you meet up with them in real life, the relationship has changed somewhat, and at some point the terms of address ought to change as well. I guess my case is propped by the fact that nobody seems to be able to pronounce my Sganime nickname in the first place, and even if they do pronounce it correctly, I never respond to it. So far I've counted a number of variations for my nickname, Oubliette: Oob, Oub, Ooblette, O-bee-let, Ob-lu-et...the list goes on! All together now, it's Oo-blee-et! Oo-blee-et! I think I'm going to ask people to just call me Viv from now on. It'll save us all a load of trouble. And I think that if I've actually met them in real life, and if I'm starting to get to know them more as people with faces rather than avatars and words on a computer screen, we can up the intimacy just a tad and call people on a real-name basis. That's my point of view anyway. But I hope to go for outings again, and meet more people. I am in the company of my own again! Artist geek-dom forever reign! Woot! Okay, social time over. Even though this will hardly be relevant to most of you, here are the photos from the outing (scroll to about halfway down to view them, they're there. I'm in them too, keep scrolling and you'll see me! I think I looked pretty decent in them :D )and the art we did! (Mine is the girl with "LOVE" on her knuckles.) Enjoy! We're only one week into school and the projects are already in high gear. The nasty school people they is, we hatessss them. Got a weekly report due tomorrow, so this is part of my desperate bid to procrastinate. I know my baby's gonna yell at me for this tho. *hides* Sorry baby...I do put things off loads, I do! But I pull through, don't I? *appealing eyes* But yes, should get it done. Sooner is better, so I can get on with doing rubbish. Actually that's not true. I should be doing other constructive things. Crappadoo. See yooooo. Back to work I must go! Viv wished for the moon @ 7:21 AM |
Thing of the day
Head in the clouds Vivienne Wong was hatched on the 12th of June 1985 and hails from Singapore, which contrary to popular belief, is not a colony of Japan. Formerly of Raffles Girls' Primary and Secondary School and then of Hwa Chong Junior College's Humanities Scheme, she is currently readjusting herself to the finer points of academia (read: she hasn't studied in ages and is really overworked) in her 2nd year at Nanyang Technological University Communication Studies. However she is currently spending the semester on the snowy plains of Ithaca College, New York, and lovin' it. Otherwise, she likes talking about herself in the third person, drawing, acting, comics, watching cartoons, eating Italian food, light rock, Irish music, Broadway tunes, acoustic guitar riffs, drawing some more and singing loudly in the bathroom. On the other hand, she dislikes unmotivated people, afternoon naps, the conventional, and people who are either smelly or wearing clothes too tight for them so that they end up bulging. Contactable here.
