Thursday, November 27, 2003 Ok, take it back. The first one at least. I've descended into indifference for number 2 and 3 is still definitely an issue. Yay they're playing Dr Gradus Ad Parnassum on the radio... Viv wished for the moon @ 6:39 AMSilly ranty time. 1. Haven't been contacted by SPH with regards to written test yet. Asked around my class, it seems SPH had already passed "S" in the call list by yesterday. How long does it take them to get to "W"? Wonder if they even got my application. Received no confirmation or earlier schedule date, unlike most of my classmates as well. Wonder what the heck's going on. If no news by tomorrow I'm going to be making phonecalls like your average kiasu Singaporean. 2. Didn't get Edusave Bursary letter. Not that I qualify but it's mail anyway that affirms some sort of standard. Ah, silly personal thing, don't ask. 3. Have headache coming on, ratty with the reminder that I have a shitload of S paper stuff to get through and thinking back I realize how little I've done in almost a week and how unproductive any studying is for me, and how little I remember anything at all. Other people can play till the cows come home and still work hard and remember everything at the eleventh hour and still end up with a better result, a better deal. Me? Slog the whole week, foresake outings and end up with absolutely zilch anyway. Might as well not go for the papers. Damnedly lousy feeling. Viv wished for the moon @ 1:30 AM Friday, November 21, 2003 Whoa...well you know I don't usually go after Manga style things, but man...this artist is WOW. Falcoon. Check him out...don't mind the Japanese, just scroll to the bottom and click "gallery"...then click whatever's clickable there. This guy is awesome! Warning though, there's an awful lot of boobage running around the place. You have been warned/enticed. ;)And on a happy note, hurrah! The worst is over! I only have Practical Criticism left and my S-papers. Since PC doesn't really count as a paper because you can't study and S-papers are what, 10 days away, I'm in a rather good mood...hrm philosophical enquiry. Did my mood make my post lit paper feelings happy, or did my post lit happiness make my mood good? Hmm...whatever it is I think it was a better paper today than last week's literature exam, definitely better than yesterday's Human Geography too. Erk. Well it's a nice way to end a week, this. :) Though my hand aches like crazy, I wrote like there was no tomorrow. Which there really isn't because it's the WEEKEND!!!! :D And I'm seeing Matrix Revolutions tomorrow! *Beam beam beam* Nyeah nyeah, some of you have seen it nyeah nyeah...well in a little over 24 hours I shall join your legion! Muahahahaha!!!*evil chicken dance* Rather incoherent I get. Didn't I use to write better than this? Alas, Horatio! Viv wished for the moon @ 5:51 AM Wednesday, November 19, 2003 Just when you thought life could get no more funkier. And the most amazing part is, it's all math, dudes. Rock on, tesselations. Viv wished for the moon @ 3:23 AM Tuesday, November 18, 2003 Blimey again. You are Form 5, Dragon: The Weaver. "And The Dragon seperated the virtuous from the sinful. He tore his eyes from his sockets and used them to peer into the souls of those on trial to make a judgement. He knew that with endless knowledge came endless responsibility." Some examples of the Dragon Form are Athena (Greek), St. Peter (Christian), and Surya (Indian). The Dragon is associated with the concept of intelligence, the number 5, and the element of wood. His sign is the crescent moon. As a member of Form 5, you are an intelligent and wise individual. You weigh options by looking at how logical they are and you know that while there may not always be a right or wrong choice, there is always a logical one. People may say you are too indecisive, but it's only because you want to do what's right. Dragons are the best friends to have because they're willing to learn. Which Mythological Form Are You? brought to you by Quizilla "Sweet Dreams" (by Eurythmics) Sweet dreams are made of this Who am I to disagree? Travel the world and the seven seas Everybody's looking for something Some of them want to use you Some of them want to get used by you Some of them want to abuse you Some of them want to be abused Which 80's Song Fits You? brought to you by Quizilla My inner child is ten years old!

Sunday, November 09, 2003 Oh yuck. Until I realize Pak is Thomasina too...:( Viv wished for the moon @ 4:52 AMWould've preferred to be Henry though. Nonetheless about the most intellectual quiz I've come across on the net to date... Viv wished for the moon @ 4:51 AM
"Septimus, if there is an equation for a curve like a bell, there must be an equation for one like a bluebell, and if a bluebell, why not a rose? Do we believe nature is written in numbers?" Thomasina Coverly: Young, innocent, and just the littlest bit smart-mouthed. Her mother declares her prematurely pert; her tutor knows she is a genius. A fairly ordinary teenage girl, with a crush on Lord Byron and a love for waltzing... and also a phenomenal mathematical and scientific talent, encompassing determinism, the laws of thermodynamics, and fractals. From Arcadia. Which Stoppard Protagonist Are You? brought to you by Quizilla Yay! My absolutely favourite character from my absolutely favourite play from my absolutely favourite playright! Wooot! ^_^ ^_^ Nothing like it to cheer me up the day before A levels begin...*groans, shuffles back to hit the books for last minute mugging madness* Viv wished for the moon @ 4:49 AM Thursday, November 06, 2003 Kill Bill.Inspired by Kill Bill in a roundabout way. See I was looking up Kill Bill when I decided to go surf around to look up Pulp Fiction, the other Tarantino hit that starred the awesome Uma Thurman, and then I remembered this character from Strings of Fate called Li, whose creation was inspired by Thurman's character in PF. So it all came around in my head the way things do at 2 am and I dished out this, mix of all three, so it's Uma-Li-WhateverhernameisfromPFIdon'trecallthoughshelookedsocool. For some reason Photoshop's been rather evil with it, and compressed it to kingdom come. This scanner is truly, diabolically evil. The quality is gosh-damn AWFUL...<:( *buries face* Damned thing. Viv wished for the moon @ 9:32 PM Wednesday, November 05, 2003 Ok. Here's one of those random lists, the wants, the wishes, the things I'll do someday. To watch (so far, at least) The Matrix Revolutions (only because I'm a loyal fan of the first movie...by gum, Revolutions had better be decent.) Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (Have yet to see it...must watch this first before watching the next one.) Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King Things I'd love to do More art Go for a life drawing class or check out an animation studio for fun Create a proper website Create a proper comic Go for a recording session at a studio to cut my own CD Learn a new instrument (guitar? Glockenspiel? Triangle? Hmm.) Hm. Try teaching in RGS? Teach in Sunday School Meet up at least once with the folks from Sganime Go out with everyone who matters to me Audition for Mr Perry's production of The Real Thing, if it's a go Help out in a theatre company? Help out in HCJC PRODUCTION next year! (in that same vein, be kaypoh and keep in touch with LD events) Finally start unpacking my room (erk!) Have a sleepover To Have An Edward Scissorhands Action figure (Still haven't given up on finally owning one of these!) Coffee Table Animation books Prisma/Copic markers Brushpens New clothes. (I mean it...I really need new threads. I've been recycling clothes for God knows how long already) Well the list kinda merges after a while. This looks reall swell on paper. Wonder if I'll get to do them all. Man...wish I'd gone out with my mum to Great World City...I usually just deposit myself in the nearest Coffee Bean and do my work. It's always nice to have a change of location...especially since there's drilling going on in my house, and the smell of noxious varnish wafts its evil way up to the loft, outside my door. Nasty. X( Damn! I should've gone...my brother went. The house is quiet. I don't like. :( Ngaah, why didn't my mum tell me she was going? I could've changed my mind. Ah well. No use whining. Work to be done. Blech. Awful. Goosh Mama, I'm doing my A levels in a matter of days. Time has slunk by too quickly for me to remember that I'm growing up... Viv wished for the moon @ 2:35 AM Sunday, November 02, 2003 Nobody likes the cold.I could put it in words, perhaps, make you feel the fingers of chill stroking your spine. Or with a brush, paint the lines that become the marbled ice, spliced and curved to line your rib. But I am no poet, and my fingers will not obey my mind and I am left with the cold and the incoherent silence Viv wished for the moon @ 2:39 AM Saturday, November 01, 2003

Whatever it means. I prefer my Surface type, whatever that is...man, I think I'm born to wield a whip. *_* Aggressive, hostile...h'mm. Or maybe it's just my mood, eh. Viv wished for the moon @ 4:54 AM Kinda like Karin's...I don't know. How can I be extroverted, which is optimistic and sociable, and rude and snappish at the same time? Doesn't add up. Yay, I'm emotionally unstable! Woot! :D
Not sure how accurate this is. Yeah, I'm disorganized but I'd like to think I'm a modicum more responsible than that. ^^;; Viv wished for the moon @ 4:48 AM |
Thing of the day
Head in the clouds Vivienne Wong was hatched on the 12th of June 1985 and hails from Singapore, which contrary to popular belief, is not a colony of Japan. Formerly of Raffles Girls' Primary and Secondary School and then of Hwa Chong Junior College's Humanities Scheme, she is currently readjusting herself to the finer points of academia (read: she hasn't studied in ages and is really overworked) in her 2nd year at Nanyang Technological University Communication Studies. However she is currently spending the semester on the snowy plains of Ithaca College, New York, and lovin' it. Otherwise, she likes talking about herself in the third person, drawing, acting, comics, watching cartoons, eating Italian food, light rock, Irish music, Broadway tunes, acoustic guitar riffs, drawing some more and singing loudly in the bathroom. On the other hand, she dislikes unmotivated people, afternoon naps, the conventional, and people who are either smelly or wearing clothes too tight for them so that they end up bulging. Contactable here.
